I'd like to connect my two Deco X50 units through ethernet backhaul, however, it's not possible for me to do it with a direct cable. Since I also own a TP Link PA9020 powerline kit, would it be possible to use it for this purpose?

 

Example: connect my main Deco device with ethernet cable to one of the powerline devices, then connect the second powerline device to my second Deco unit. Would that work?

You have Deco units. You have powerline kit. Just try them together and you will know.

This is what I did with powerline kit I have, when I've got my Deco units. Mine works with Deco, but it is from ZyXEL.

 

If Deco is compatible with powerline kit, you will see Satellite Deco report Ethernet as backhaul. In Deco app, open status page for Satellite Deco, and you should see:
