I have a strange issue with my deco X50 

 

My windows 10 laptop is very temperamental on it. It sometimes connect sometimes says unable to connect while I'm at home. 
 

However if I leave on my driveway it never works. There is one main deco in living room and one in hallway to provide full range on driveway where I work with cars. As soon as I'm outside (full deco range) and I turn the laptop on it never connects. It says unable to connect and nothing can be done. 
 

I used to have BT Whole home before and never had issue. 
 It is so frustrating, I followed other suggestions and changed to static IP and DNS and it's still same. 
I'm running out of ideas what to do to get this working? 
 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hi, were you still having the same issue on the windows laptop with Deco x50? 

You could also turn off fast roaming on the Deco APP>More>Advanced.

And may I know the model number of your laptop?

Currently, there is a new firmware of Deco X50 available for test and maybe you could install this firmware to see whether it helped with the current issue:

Deco X50(V1) 1.1.0

hiya 

I have now managed to fix the issue. I did try to switch off Roaming and then Beamforming and that didn't help at all. 
 

I was then suggested to remove special characters from Wi-Fi password. 
and voila that worked. 
 

How come this was affecting connection from outside but was allowing connection from inside the house I don't know , but as soon as I removed @ from my password it connects instantly anywhere I am. 🤯🤯🤯
