Hi, I am bought an extra AC1200 set and try to connect to my excisting AC1200 set, but it isn't working. I try to add the satellite tower, but in my app it appears like following:

Should I also connect the new router tower or is there are way to connect to the already excisting main and other satellite towers?

That symbol indicates the new Deco node is connected via PowerLine, likely as there is not a sufficent WiFi signal

This should work for you, however powerline is not always the best option and can be slow.  Try moving the new Deco closer to  an existing node.

Hi, Philbert, Thanks for your suggestion.

On the new APP 3.0, Powerline Backhaul and Ethenret Backhaul use the same iconlaugh.

So if the model AC1200 is not Deco P9,  it is also possible that the Schuur Deco is connected to another Deco via Ethernet cable.

Best regards.

Thanks you for your reply!

However, the Deco isn't connected by ethernet cable at all. I just installed the satellite via my app (version 3.2.6), but is seems it's not recognizing my deco network. So how can I change the setting that it will switch from powerline to wireless? It's the model Deco E4S.

Hey

Given the device is an E4S as you state, then this does not contain a power line adapter built-in, therefore that is not an option.  This device will only work wireless

What colour is the LED on top of the deco?   If its RED then its not getting a strong enough signal to work, I would try moving this closer to another node and perhaps resetting it.   Gut feeling is the App is aware of the node, just cant communicate wirelessly to it and therefore wont display an WiFi icon.

Hi, The colour is stable white. I just tried to install the new node 50cm from the router node after resetting the satellite node as well, but no results. I also tried to select another deco in the list during the installation process. Last days I selected the AC1200 model, but this morning I tried selected 'E-series' -> E4. Unfortunately without any positive result. So no progress yet...
