Have a pair of these 2000mbps powerline adapters.

1 The TP-Link software states a max of normally around 1050mbps

2, Tamosoft throughput software to a ethernet wired PC gives around 200mbps upload and 200mbps download. This is a local LAN test.

3. Speedlink internet test gives around 120mbps download and 2mbps upload

Speedlink test on my ethernet wired PC is around 920mbps download and 125mbps upload and if I go to wifi on this PC I get 550/120 respectively

Now even if I was a little dissapointed with test (2), my wifi connection is good locally and good for the internet connection, but on the AV2000's the internet upload speed is being strangled by something beyond my comprehension and I am in the ICT business.

Could it be the BT ultrafast hub or something else??

  @RobWalley

Hi,

Is the AV2000 TL-PA9020Pkit or TL-WPA9610 KIT?

  • "The TP-Link software states a max of normally around 1050mbps", do you mean the powerline link rate on the tpPLC utility?
  • "Speedlink internet test gives around 120mbps download and 2mbps upload". is it the Ethernet speed on the PC from AV2000?

Thank you very much.

Wait for your reply.

  @David-TP I'm Using 2 x AV2000, one into the ethernet card on my PC, linked to one directly into the (now) DLink AX6000 router with the WAN port connected to the BT FTTP modem.

Speed tests from BT Wholesale website are 910/240 on a PC directly connected to the router via ethernet card

Speed tests from my PC via Asus AC88 wifi card are 600/200

Speed test from my PC via ethernet card plugged into the AV2000 are 140/2. Other end is AV2000 directly into router.

I have actually managed to fix this and find the setting that is causing these issues. The second of the 'Large Send Offload v2 (IP4)" was enabled, after disabling this the speeds are 280/140

Just in case I have disabled all 'Large Send Offload' but the first and third appear to have little or no effect. There are a few mentions when googling this. Hope this helps others.
