Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.7.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 220826 Rel.58057n

I wonder if anyone could help. I am able to select two bands in CA that i like. in this instance i am selecting bands 1 and 7 in aggregate. However the modem after maybe one hour keeps switching to 7,7 instead of 1,7

This is frustrating because when i am on 1,7 i have the better signal and the better speeds, but this stupid machine keeps switching to 7,7

For reference

on 1,7  RSRP: -94db

            RSRQ: -11db

            SNR:     24db

but when it switches to 7,7 (which i DO NOT WANT)

RSRP: -101db

RSRQ: -8db

SNR:     11db

^^^^^ There are worst stats as you can see, can someone tell me how to "LOCK" the bands that i want without stupid archer changing them

Thanks!

  @cmalz

Hi, when selecting band 1 and band 7 on MR600, it means it allows working on single band 1, single band 7, band 1+7, band 1+1, band 7+7, whether and how the carrier aggregate is decided by base station instead of the router, so we are unable to force it to work on 1, 7 all the time.

By the way, except for the signal strength etc., did you run speedtest when it works on different band combinations? If 7, 7 is much slower, how about selecting band 1 only?

Or any other band combinations supported by your ISP?

well i would assume if the carrier allows to lock on and 1 and 7 it should allow me to lock on those bands indefinetly. Speed tests on 7 and 7,7 are slower Speed tests on 1 only are higher but not as high as 1,1
