Deco X50 5G - Red light issue
Hello, I am using Deco X50-5G as a main modem.
Every day, a few times, a solid red light appears on the modem and it needs to be reset (I re-plug the power cable). My ISP confirmed that there is no issue in the 5G signal.
Could there be something wrong with the Deco modem? It's very annoying..

Hi, welcome to the community.
So far it is hard to say where the problem is.
Could you please send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com with the following details:
1. May I know who is your SIM card carrier?
2. Could you please send some screenshots of the following page before and after the internet disconnected?
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Not much help, but I ( and many others as the forum will show) have an X80-5G and have the exactly the same issue. The "Red light of death" issue seems common across a number of TP-Link 5G units. If you find a solution, I am sure there are many who woudl love to hear from you.

I have a Deco X50-5G and on restart or power off/on the LED goes solid RED at the end of reboot...
As a work-around: I then remove the SIM-card and RESET on the resetbutton, re-install the X50 device and put in the SIM-card and get blue light..
I thought it was a problem on my single device but maybe is a common problem?
I was waiting for a firmware upgrade to solve this issue but now I got the update to: 1.1.0 Build 20230804 Rel 3600 and the issue remains...
I have "Telia" in Sweden as internet service and sim card provider.
Will turn back the device to the store...
#### EDIT 1:
Red light in my case only comes after reboot, during normal operation I have a stable connection with blue light all the time.
And I now discovered that I do NOT have to do the reset/reinstall/remove sim-card after reboot - I only have to unlock the SIM-card with the pin-code in the iPhone app, then I get blue light.
#### EDIT 2:
Finally, my problem solved, I found the "PIN Management" in the iPhone DECO app were you can enable "Auto-Unlock PIN". This was default set to false.
Now the LED goes to red a short while after a reboot but then goes to blue as expected. Case closed. :)

I have the same issue in London, UK on the X-50 5G. Every now and then the red light appears and a restart is necessary. Specific bands are unselectable as well...
TP link can you please address these issues as everyone seems to be having the same problem.

Just upgraded from the TP-link 4G+ router to the X50-5G, having the same issues on EE 5G. The 4G router had no issues for months, but upgraded to 5G when available in the area.
A reboot of the router through the app instantly fixes the internet but is inconvenient as has happened twice within a 24 hour period. This wouldn't be possible to do remotely either.
Fortunately happened within 24 Hours of having the product so shall be returned and will look into other 5G routers.
Note I use Deco E4 units as a mesh network which works perfectly. Disappointing TP-Link haven't solved it as I like the software environment/app.

Same issue here in Finland. X50 5G drops out with few hours interval. Carrier is Telia. Cannot use this for work risking meetings being interrupted.
