Abnormal WAN Speed message
Abnormal WAN Speed message
Getting warning message "Abnormal WAN speed " since last firmware upgrade.
x50-Poe connected to FTTH GPON at 1G speed.
It's not affecting performance in anyway. Just about annoying.
anyone else seeing this ?

Update:
The issue is due to the negotiation speed on the 2.5G port of Deco X50-POE. When the internet bandwidth is only 1G/s or the ISP modem has a gigabit port, the 2.5G port on Deco could only get 1G speed which is less than what it is capable of. It will not affect the actual internet bandwidth, and this issue will be improved along with the firmware update of Deco.
Currently, the workaround would be to connect the ISP modem to the 1G port of Deco X50-POE.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Hi, Could you please help me submit the APP log here:
As for the Ethernet cables you are using for Ethernet Backhual, are they all cat 6/5e or something else?
By the way, do you use a POE switch to power on Deco X50-POE? If yes, can I have the model number of the switch?
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

HI David, logs sent as per the instructions
- I am using CAT6 patch cables for both WAN and LAN.
- Deco X50-POE is connected to a TPLINK TL-2428P JetStream 28-Port Gigabit Smart Switch with 24-Port PoE+
The WAN port is directly connected to service providers GPON box Huawai . This is a 1G ethernet port as far as I know.

@David-TP
I've been getting this message over the past week or so as well and have confirmed that my ethernet cord is CAT6. Except for known ISP issues, speed seems to be normal otherwise. My Deco model is X5700 and firmware version is up to date

I frequently experience a significant decline in the speed of my Deco network, resulting in certain devices being unable to connect to the internet. Additionally, I encounter frequent instances where YouTube videos take 10-15 minutes to load, and this issue occurs multiple times throughout the day.

Hi, welcome to the community.
Your current is not related to this post. It is highly appreciated if you could start a new thread with more details, like your model number of Deco and current firmware version.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.
@Macer, Hi, Thanks for getting back to me.
This notification would be optimized via a firmware upgrade.
The latest firmware has added a warning when the WAN link speed is below what the Ethernet port is capable of. So you would get this warning when the internet bandwidth is about 1G/s but the modem is connected to the 2.5Ghz port. It did not actually hinder your real internet speed.
Best regards.

thanks for the message. I have the same issue with the 2.5gb port of the deck connected to the 2.5gb port on a Motorola modem. In addition to fixing the bug, could we maybe have a feature request to show the actual LAN and WAN connection speeds on the Deco? I don't believe those value are visible in the GUI.
Thank you
