USB Tethering (RDNIS) on TP Link Router with USB (C6U)

Hi,
Currently using C6U as my main Router and it supports USB functionality, I tried connecting Mobile USB Tethering to that as backup while my WAN Down. Router's Green LED for USB blinks but no luck on connecting.
Is there any way to connect or does router Firmware supports (for just RNDIS usb tethering, not worried about 3g/4g modem)?. Please suggest.
