A few user reviews claim that the device's settings are lost when the power goes out. How true is this? My parents need a new device and... well, they're not good with technology.

Hi, welcome to the community.

It is not the usual case for a router to lose its internet connection after a power outage. It could be a problem with the router or the SIM card. Honestly, I think Deco X50-4G would not do that but I'd like to wait for more reviews from other users.
