Guest Network on OneMesh nodes?

Hello,

I have an Archer AX73 and a RE600X configured as a mesh network. I can see my main Wi-Fi network being extended seamlessly by my RE600X, but not the guest network, which I have enabled and can see fine from my Ax73. Is there a way to configure end nodes of a OneMesh to extend the guest network too?

For security, I use the guest network for my IoT devices that I only need to get connected to the internet but need no access to the local network or see other devices on the network.

This option to have guest network through OneMesh extender is a topic being asked since 2020, three years has passed and we don't see any improvement in this area, please have the engineering team to have a solution for this.

Thank you,

Hi, welcome to the community.

There hasn't been a plan to support OneMesh on the guest network. The OneMesh router Archer AX73 does not have a backup hidden wireless signal on the guest network which could be used to create Mesh Backhaul with RE600X.

If you plan to use RE600x to extend the guest network of Archer AX73, it is recommended to set it up in the ordinary way without OneMesh.

Or later you could have a look at our Deco Mesh system that supports Mesh on both main network and guest network:

Thank you very much and best regards.

I'd also like this feature, as like the OP, I use the guest network for my IoT devices too!

Come on TP-Link, get with the game and make your stuff work as well as your competitors!!
