Hi, 

 

I have a gx90 as my main router. Can the archer a8 capable of being my satellite router? How do i go about it?

There's one more thing you can do if you want to use your A8 (Easymesh supported) as a satellite with the GX90 (Onemesh supported).

Follow this post to check if that will help you to achieve this.

Once you've added A8 as a satellite device you'd lose its management interface access - that's by design.

It should be managed trough the Onemesh device list menu of the GX90.

You could switch the A8 to Access Point mode and then it would work as an access point for additional WiFi.   However this would require the 2 routers connected via a cable, it would basically make the A8 an access point

 

I dont think the A8 can wirelessly repeat a signal for you, if that is what you are after?

What i mean is that can it be a mesh sattelite router. Cutrently im just using the WDS functionality, but i want to take advantage of the one mesh feature

I was able to get the mesh working, but im experiencing intermittent wifi connection. Wouldni still be able to manage the mesh router?

  @terziyski 

 

one last thing, the hide ssid feature is not working even if i tick the hide ssid, its still being seen. Another thing , just wanted to confirm that guest network settings will also be copied over to the mesh device?
