I need Archer C86 WDS support
Hi,
Yesterday I bought an Archer C86 believing it had WDS support. But I can't find it.
I know C80 had a firmware update adding WDS support. Since C86 is newer I chose C86. I thought it too should support WDS.
Is there a way to use it as wireless range extender?

I found the problem. I disabled DHCP on C86 so that clients got IP settings from the router.
Now clients can connect to internet.
However C86 itself cannot.
I don't understand why.

That is normal on many routers I have worked with.
When in "Router Mode" these routers are configured to look for the Internet on their WAN port, and only on their WAN port. Since there is no cable connected to the WAN port that provides an Internet connection the router says "No Internet connection" or "Cannot connect to Internet".
The clients are able to connect to the Internet, because the DHCP server gives them the information that their "Gateway" (to the Internet) is the main router.

The C86 should support WDS the same way as the C80 does. Just make sure it is set to "Router Mode" and not "Access Point Mode".

@woozle thank you for help.
I found WDS and created bridge, connection established successfully.
But there is still no internet connection. It seems bridge is not working.
What am I doing wrong?
