Model: Archer VR400  
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.5.0_220321

I have the above router as my main but wish to use it now as a satellite due to buying a new router Archer AX55, unfortunately it doesn't have the satellite functionality with the above firmware. Is there a firmware version that can be installed to allow it to work as a satellite router with my Archer AX55?

There's no plans for VR400 easymesh implementation at this moment - compatible devices, but you can do the oposite though - using VR400 (Onemesh compatible) as your main router and AX55 (Easymesh compatible) as a satellite router - check this post for details.

  Hi @terziyski,

 

Yes I have done this already but my AX55 loses the wifi 6 capability and the smart hub function when in this mode paired with the VR400, this is why I want to use the AX55 as my main router so I do lose all these functions that I paid good money for.

 

I appreciate your response and help.
