Connects to my BT Hub and the Detective finds my device (a camera) but there is no change to the signal from the camera (just 30kbp/s) The RE330 is 2m away and in view of the camera. And 6m from the router.

Did you plan to use RE330 to boost the wireless speed of the smart camera?
The main purpose of the range extender is to improve the wireless signal strength for a more stable connection, such as the wireless signal (RSSI) changing from -70dBm to -30dBm. The type of wireless connection on RE330 is half-duplex, which means that the specified bandwidth is halved on every next hop when devices are connected wirelessly. In other words, it is unable to improve the network speed of the connected device.
