Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1

Hi,

I have upgraded my PX50 devices to the latest firmware.

Since the upgrade I have my network really instable. Devices are apparently connected and then some of the services application are not working anymore.

Examples are:
- iPhones are working after a reboot of the network and after a few minutes theose are not able to reach any webpage or use whatsapp.
- Web pages on the local network are not reachable anymore
- Ring doorbell not sending notifications and so on

While other things continue to be working, like streaming.

I would like to try to downgrade.

I went on your website to download the version 1.0.4

- Went on the web page of the main deco

- I uploaded the version 1.0.4 of the firmware, but I get the message saying that I already have the latest version.

Is there another way to downgrade, please?

Thank you

  @Birillo

Hi, Thank you very much for your feedback.

It is not suggested to downgrade the firmware back to 1.0.4 since the latest 1.2.1 has added many new features. Downgrading back to 1.0.4 is crossing different firmware platforms and it needs to be complemented via firmware recovery.

As for the non-working service applications, are you able to constantly reproduce this issue on certain devices in a short time?

Have you tried to "reset Network settings" on the iPhone and restart Ring cameras to see whether they helped?

It is also suggested to refer to this link to change DNS to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 to see whether it helped:

How to change DNS server settings on my Deco

Wait for your reply and best regards.

Hi @David-TP

thank you for your help.

Unfortunatelly I had to downgrade ASAP since I had serious issues with the network.

After the PX50 downgrade everything went back to work as normal.

One thing that I noticed is that the issues have been happening mainly when we were connecting to not PX50 Decos. But again, not 100% sure since I did not have time to investigate more. I can tell you that the issues with the iPhones, as an example, were appearing and disappearing when moving to different rooms.
FYI, I reset the networks and reboot all the devices and router without any result.
About the DNS I am already using what you have suggested.

If this can help, I have connected  3 PX50, 3 X50 and 1 M9
One of the PX50 is the main device.

Deco is configured to be used as Access Point.

  @Birillo

Thank you very much for the update.

I will report to the engineers to see if they can help us run further tests.

By the way, have all your iPhones been updated to the latest IOS 17.1?

Best regards.

  Thank you @David-TP

Yes I am on the latest version of iOS (17.1.1).
But as explained, this was not the only set of devices having the issue, but this allowed me to notice that the issue was appearing and disappearing when I was moving from one room to the other.
