Model: Archer AX20
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Happy Blessed New Year to All!

I would like to consult how to setup AX20 as satelitte router using TP-link AX72 as main router and EasyMesh channel as I have done the following and it is still cannot be detected by Tether app:

1) Reset to factory setting

2) Removed LAN cable

3) Place it next to main router

4) AX20 OneMesh firmware is updated

Appreciate and thanks your solution sharing im advance!

Hi,

Happy New Year!

According to TP-Link's list of EasyMesh-compatible devices (https://www.tp-link.com/en/easymesh/product-list/#wi-fi-routers) the Archer AX20 only supports EasyMesh starting with hardware version V3, while you mentioned you have a V2.

Therefore, there is unfortunately no way to make work what you are trying to achieve.

According to posts of other users it is possible to connect a EasyMesh router to a OneMesh main router (i.e. use the AX20 as Main router and the AX73 as Satellite), but that doesn't look like a good option in your case, because the Wi-Fi specs of the AX20 are so much inferior to those of the AX73.

Hi,

Thanks for replying and insight on only AX20 V3 is compatible with EasyMesh meshing.

Definitely, will not take the OneMesh option as AX72 is a better choice as Main router.

Appreciate and have a nice day!
