Workaround:
If you encounter similar issues, we recommend the following two workarounds, please try either one and confirm if the issue can be resolved:
Workaround 1: please try following steps:
1) Switch the device from AP mode to router mode.
2) Perform a factory reset by holding reset button for about 10s. Please note that all the previous configurations will be lost.
3) After the factory reset, switch the device back to AP mode.
4) Check if the guest network works fine.
Workaround 2. You could also download and update the following beta firmware:
For Archer A64v1, A8v1, C59v4, C64v1, C80v1(They use the same beta): Archer C80_V1_20231229

A suggestion regarding release notes of FW releases since many users have turned off auto update feature (or it has not been implemented at all) on their devices - they are cautious regarding new FW releases.
For example:
Archer C64(EU)_V1_1.13.2 Build 230824
Published Date: 2023-09-08 | Language: Multi-language | File Size: 3.80 MB |
Modifications:
1.Added support for DoH.
2.Added support for Alexa
3.Added support for HTTPS access.
4.Added IoT network and IoT security.
5.Optimized the guest network, supports Access Time Control and Bandwidth Control.
6.Optimized the easymesh, supports upgrading multiple devices at the same time.
7.Optimized the UI.
Bug Fixed:
1.Fixed several bugs related to IPTV.
2.Fixed several UI bugs.
3.Fixed the bug that the pin doesn't work under certain scenarios.
4.Fixed a compatibility bug with certain intel network cards.
5.Fixed the bug that router can't be accessed remotely via tether.
Note: You will be unable to downgrade to the previous firmware version after updating this firmware.
Known Issues:
1. Guest Network in AP Mode Stops Working
Adding a new section "Known Issues" would be very informative for a user who has to decide whether to upgrade or not to this FW release, since he can't revert back to the previous one.
In this case:
if the user is not using the device in AP mode he can proceed with the FW update.
If the user will use the device in AP mode he would know for the possible issue and won't proceed until issuing a beta or next stable FW release.

Thank you for your valuable suggestion!
Typically, issues are reported and identified after a firmware release. This means that there are usually no known issues at the time of releasing the firmware and creating the release note. However, if any serious problems are identified, maybe we could consider updating the release note. We will forward your suggestion to our senior engineer for evaluation.
We appreciate your continuous support and the warm-hearted help you provide to other users. Thank you!

Yes, that's what I've meant - when the problem is identified to update the FW release notes.
Thus an unneccessary overhead for users and your team would be spared.
This would also improve the overall user experience and company image.

@Sunshine Hi, I am currently using the beta firmware for the Archer C64 1.0 (Beta Firmware Version 1.13.5 Build 231228 Rel.63705n(4555)) linked on this thread, and I noticed that DNS over HTTPS (DoH) isn't working on my router. Once enabled, the status is stuck on "Connecting..." and does not progress further.
I tested with Quad9 and Cloudflare DNS, and by using their respective testing instructions, I was able to verify that DoH isn't being used for either provider.
The DoH feature works on the latest public version (Firmware Version 1.13.2 Build 230824 Rel.74702n(4555)). Unfortunately, I had to move off of that version since I am experiencing intermittent Internet connectivity dropouts after around 20-30 minutes from the router being turned on. (Internet connection is lost on all devices connected to the router, including wired devices. The router is used in Router (not AP) mode, and the Guest Network feature is not being used.)
However, the beta firmware linked on this forum thread has no such issue, and after continuously running it for 24 hours non-stop, no such dropouts occurred. I'll be staying on the beta firmware version for the meantime.
With that, I would like to know if the DoH issue can be resolved. Thanks!
