New Features and Modifications

 

1. Add support of L2TP over IPSec VPN Server.

 

2. Fixed the random restarting issue reported here.
3. Fixed the guest network issue in AP mode reported here.

  @Sunshine Good day,

 

I was so happy when I heard that someone finally put the effort into introducing a feature that I believe should have been there to start with. However, my happiness didn't last long until I realized what type of VPN protocol this uses. The question here comes why not use Open VPN? Other models of TP-Link have already integrated it on their official machines, I don't see why the top-of-the-line model of this router should use a, practically worse type of "secure" connection when a great alternative is already out there on the cheaper models of the same lineup. I uninstalled the beta since I don't see a point in a L2TP over IPSec VPN.

  @Sunshine  can the suporte team fix the System Time issue? i set to "get from managing device" but always return to the "get from internet"

May I know if the same issue appears on previous official firmware or starts from this beta firmware?

 

Please make sure firmware auto update is disabled before selecting ""get from managing device" , if there is any error message, please also let us know.

Hi, is your router Archer C80 V2.2? And do you mean the system time issue mentioned by itachimetal above or any other issue?

 

For the firmware downgrade issue, please try downgrading to 1.13.2 firmware: Firmware Download for Archer C80 V2.2

Thank you very much for the reply, I've reported the time settings issue to our senior engineer for testing, will keep you informed once there is any update.

 

To double confirm it, you mean firmware update works from 1.3.1 to 1.3.7 now but time settings issue still exists, right?
