Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.9

Hi All,

I have a Windows laptop (Surface Pro 8) that supports Wi-fi 6E but I notice that it's connected network band is 5GHz (on the laptop) and in the Deco app it say its connected on the 5GHz as well. However the protocol used is 802.11ax... I'm confused is this wi-fi 6e?

Thanks Ian.

WiFi 6E runs on 6 GHz. What you have is WiFi 6 connection. WiFi 6, just like WiFi 5, uses 5GHz band.

Surface Pro 9 tech specs confirm support for WiFi 6E, but for Surface Pro 8 all I can find from Microsoft site is that it only supports WiFi 6.
