Firmware Version: 1.0.12 Build 20231023 rel.42641(4555)

Hi,

I have issues with internet connection on the WIFI network on my Archer AX73. The internet connection randomly drop multiple time a day on devices connected over WIFI.

When the issue appears:

 - Devices connected using WIFI can't access to internet

 - Devices connected using WIFI can still access to all other devices conected to the network

 - Devices connected using LAN have access to internet

All leds on the router remains Green.

The router is used in France and is connected in Wireless Router Mode to internet behind a BBox ( Fast5330b-r1 ) from Bouyges Telecom on the WAN port. The ethernet cable has been checked and works properly. Internet is still broadcasted by the BBox when the issue appears.

AX73 System display those logs:

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

Please try disabling smart connect, change WiFi channel and channel width to see if it helps.

If the issue still happens, please help to confirm the following information:

1. What is the network topology? is there any other access point or extenders in the same network?

2. How many client devices are usually connected to the router? and what are they?

3. When the issue happens, will all wireless clients lose internet at the same time? or just random devices?

4. Will it recover automatically, or you have to reconnect the WiFi manually or even restart the router to get internet again?

5. When did you purchase this router and when the issue started?

Hello,

I disabled the smart connect and played a bit with WIFI channels and width.

Ax73 System logs stopped logging LAN_ON, WAN0_OFF, WAN1_ON but the main issue is still present.

1. What is the network topology? is there any other access point or extenders in the same network?

There is no other access point or extender providing the WIFI for this network.

2. How many client devices are usually connected to the router? and what are they?

There are usually 4 clients that connects to the to WIFI (one phone and 3 single-board computers) everything else is connected using a wired connection.

3. When the issue happens, will all wireless clients lose internet at the same time? or just random devices?

I don't know if the SBCs lose internet as they don't require access to it to work properly. And I didn't manage to log in time into them during a connection drop yet.

4. Will it recover automatically, or you have to reconnect the WiFi manually or even restart the router to get internet again?

It will recover automatically. The connection drop can last a couple of minutes.

5. When did you purchase this router and when the issue started?

I purchased this router in June 2023, I noticed the issue rater fast after the installation.

Thanks for your time.

Hi, wired devices are not affected and internet is always working when even when the smartphone loses internet, right?

Please try configuring Internet DNS servers manually to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Hi,

I swaped the DNS as requested, but the issue still occurs. I also tried with other DNS, same outcome.

I was able to reproduce the issue with a laptop connected to the WIFI. When the issue occured on the laptop, and internet wasn't avaiable on it, I had full access to internet on my phone. So it seems that the connection drops temporary only for one device in the network.

Thanks for your help.
