Model: Deco XE70 Pro
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.2.9

I am trying to access port 8124 on my ip. I have added port forwarding using the app.

I have my ISP ONT device and deco is connected to it. The ip address of ONT is 192.168.18.1 and the one provided to deco is 192.168.18.2.

However, deco uses subnet 192.168.1.*, so the devices connected to it have the mentioned subnet as shown in the image above.

i have added 192.168.18.2 in DMZ of ONT device. When i do this i am able to access devices using public ip (72.255.*.*) while being on same network.

However when i try to access from outside I am unable to access.

I also tried opening port of 8124 on my ONT for ip 192.168.18.2 but that hasnt helped either. Would appreciate some expert advice on this. Thank you

  @saadbashir

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.

If you check the current public IP address on https://whatismyipaddress.com/, is the IP address here the same as 72.255.xxx.xxx?

By the way, may I know who is your internet service provider?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP Thank you for your kind response.

Yes, the public ip is same as on the website you mentioned. This is a static ip allotted to me by my internet service provider.

The internet service provider is Stormfiber.

  @saadbashir

Thank you very much.

I consulted the engineer earlier and he thought the WAN IP-72.255.XXX.XXX here might not be a real public IP.

But Since the website showed the same IP address, I think it is a public IP.

Later I would like to follow up on your case via email and forward it to the senior engineers for further assistance. Please check whether you could receive my email.

By the way, before using Deco, when there is only ISP ONT router, are you able to access any local servers remotely?

Best regards.
