Hi,

I am using Archer C20 as a Range extender to my existing WiFi Router. I am using it for dual-band 2.4Ghz and 5GHz.

The 5GHz band extended network shows connected all the time and works well. However, the 2.4GHz extended network shows disconnected always (the WDS status on the status page of tplink portal) and actually disconnects very frequently.

Please help !

In general 2.4GH band is more susceptible to wireless interference and that could be the reason for this behavior.

What you could do is to set a static wireless channel on your main router (1, 6 or 11) and even try channel width of 20Mhz.

The other approach is to use an app like Wi-Fi Analyzer or inSSIDer, check which 2.4GHz channel is with a less interference and use it.

All these settings should be done on your main router.
