No easy mesh connection between MR505 and RE315
No easy mesh connection between MR505 and RE315
Hello. I have a problem with the Easy Mesh connection between the MR505 router and the RE315. The device is not searched by the router, and pairing via WPS does not work. Both devices have Easy Mesh. What could be the problem?

Thanks. That looks like the "other" GUI TP-Link uses, not the one that's on the regular retail models.
Can you please check if you can find an option named "Band Steering" somewhere within the "Wireless" settings?
In case there is an option named like that, then switch it off.
Apparently some users had issues before when trying to connect a TP-Link device that uses "Band Steering" with another TP-Link device that uses "Smart Connect" (which is what the RE315 supports).

Ok, but does it then have "Smart Connect" instead?
By the way, when setting up a TP-Link device it is always a good idea to do that via the full "desktop" version of the web GUI. The Tether app and perhaps also the "mobile" webpage version omit certain features.
So, if you are using a mobile device you need to activate the "View Desktop version" toggle switch or checkbox in the browser to see the full version of the page. Although, it might be a bit cumbersome to navigate the full webpage on a small screen.
Edit: Actually, if you tell us whether your MR505 router broadcasts two separate SSIDs for the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and the 5 GHz Wi-Fi, then that would tell us that Band Steering or Smart Connect is switched off and we don't need to care about it anymore.

If the router supports the "Smart Connect", then it shouldn't be a problem. But if you don't mind the effort, then switch "Smart Connect" off and then try again to connect the RE315 to the MR505. On the RE315 just go through the "Quick Setup". It would be important to know whether the RE315 recognizes the EasyMesh of the router or not. (normally it should say [EasyMesh] like in the screenshot below)

@woozle OK, I checked everything. I turned off Smart Connect and configured the device again. When searching for a network in the amplifier, I am not informed that the network supports Easy Mesh. The service is enabled on the router. Screenshot in attachment
