Hi,

I recently upgraded my speed from 500Mbps to 1Gbps however my main deco M4 connected to the modem is only giving out approx. 500-520Mbps but the ethernet cable between the modem and deco is ouputting 900Mbps. I tried changing the QoS feature however there was no change, I also rebooted multiple times and changed to access point but the speed wouldnt go up.

Does anyone have any other ideas I could try?

Thanks!

  @abicin

You must be hitting limits of WiFi5 wireless protocol that M4 supports. Theoretical limit is 860Mbps, realistic, depending on radio interference and other factors: 60%-70% of that. Getting 500Mbps in real life from WiFi5 is quite good.

To get faster wireless speeds you will need to replace M4s with WiFi mesh (Deco or other brand) that supports WiFi6.

  @Alexandre. Thanks for replying

I thought Gigabit was attainable since on the box they promote speed up to 1167Mbps.

Is there no way I can increase the speed to at least 800? How else am I to enjoy the Gigabit speed?
