Model: Deco XE75
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.1

I did some performance testing on my XE75 mesh Network using a WLANPI connected to the 1Gig port on the primary XE75, running iPerf3(TCP).  Note - My XE75(AP mode) mesh network is running 1.4.1 and has approx. 40 clients attached across primary and two satellites.

I used both WiFi6 80MHz & WiFi6E 160MHz channels and WiFi6E 160MHz obviously provided the best results smiley  I almost managed to get 1Gbps download when using WiFi6E 160MHz, but I believe was limited by only having a 1Gig port on the XE75.  I was very pleased with the results?

Performance results:

Note - WLANPi - 1G Full Duplex     iPhone 13 mini & 16 pro - WiFi6(80MHz) on XE75 & Cisco 9130

Tool                (Primary XE75 D/U)       (Satellite XE75 D/U)      (Cisco 9130 D/U)

iPerf3(TCP)    671Mbps/578Mbps        530Mbps/368Mbps        537Mbps/367Mbps        30/09/24 Using iPhone 13 mini
iPerf3(TCP)    747Mbps/624Mbps        686Mbps/591Mbps        549Mbps/428Mbps        04/10/24 Using iPhone 16 pro

Note - WLANPi - 1G Full Duplex     iPhone 16 pro - WiFi6E(160MHz) on XE75

Tool                (Primary XE75 D/U)       (Satellite XE75 D/U)

iPerf3(TCP)    953Mbps/800Mbps        783Mbps/537Mbps                                               04/10/24 Using iPhone 16 Pro

Hi Guys,

If you were not already aware, there seems to be a limitation with the new iPhone pro 16 using WiFi7.  The iPhone pro 16 currently only supports a max channel bandwidth of 160MHz when using WiFi7 compatible hardware.  This is an iPhone issue, which means performance figures on WiFi7 compatible hardware will be similar to WiFi6E, which also supports 160MHz channel bandwidth.  WiFi7 introduces a new channel bandwidth of 320MHz, where performance should at least double when using WiFi7 compatible hardware?

sad

Thank you very much for sharing the speed test results here yes. It would be very useful for users who are still struggling to find how to improve the iPhone 16 pro speed performance when connecting to the WiFi 7 routers. Best regards.
