Firmware Version:

Hi all, I hope you can help.

I have a network of Deco s7's that I have on the latest firmware with an IoT network now set up.

I've recently purchased an additional s7 to expand the network - but when I try to add via the app, it "finds" the new deco but fails to add it to the network.  I've done a bit of research and I think its because the firmware needs to be updated to add the IoT feature - but I can't add it to the network to enable the firmware update.

Is there a way to force through an update via a hardwired connection to a PC? or any other way to update the firmware that you are aware of?

Thanks for your help

Hi, welcome to the community.

You could install the latest 1.5.0 firmware via firmware recovery process.

How to use firmware recovery if the Deco become brick

Or, it is also suggested to use this new Deco to create a separate Mesh system through the Deco APP so that we can check its current firmware. Then Deco APP will also detect whether there is a new firmware for it:

How to Create a New Network in the Deco App

Thank you very much and best regards.
