Model: Archer A7
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20220714 rel.75573(4555)

Hello,

I am struggling to set up a OneMesh network between a wifi router Archer A7 v5.0 and a wifi repeater RE450 v3.0. I can successfully setup the repeater to use the wifi router network password, but the wifii SSID is not the same (it ends with EXT) therefore my PC doesn't switch automatically across networks.

The firmware are:

  • 1.2.1 Build 20220714 rel.75573(4555) for the Archer A7 device
  • 1.0.1 Build 20190124 Rel. 56886 for the RE450 device

Does anyone know how I should set it up the OneMesh network to have one single SSID and password across all devices ? Should I update the firmware? In the Admin web interface, it says that the firmware of the Archer A7 router is up to date, but I have seen a most recent version in the US website.

Kind regards,

 Fausto

Your problem is that RE450 v3 doesn't support OneMesh feature. It is supported on RE450 v4 and above - details.
