Title pretty much. Out of the blue all my 2ghz devices lost connection and can no longer see the wifi, meanwhile 5ghz is totally fine.

What I've tried so far:
Rebooting router
Updating firmware
Switching wifi channels from auto to 1/6 and etc
Changing wifi SSID and password, changing auth options WPA2-PSK[AES] / WPA3-PSK[AES]

Tether software and router admin panel show that everything is fine but no device can see 2ghz wifi anymore. Is my router fried? It's barely 2 months old at this point.

Hi  @Alex_Sp 

 

1. Check the WI-FI lights, if they are off, press the WI-FI/WPS button on the back of the router for about 5-10s until the lights flashing, then confirm whether the WI-FI can be detected when lights are stable.

2. If WI-FI lights are on, open the Tether APP, go to More > Wi-Fi Settings, and make sure the 2.4G/5G network is enabled and not hidden.

3. If you are only seeing the 5 GHz network (TP-Link_XXXX_5G), not the 2.4GHz network (TP-Link_XXXX), please disable the "Smart   Connect" feature.

4. Check whether all your devices can't see the TP-LINK WI-FI, if only certain devices, update the driver or system on your wireless client device.

 5. Try another Router with your wireless devices for a comparison.
