Model: Archer TXE72E
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I have installed this adapter and the wifi driver using the V2 download from the support page.(no cd drive).

The Wifi drive installed with no issue and the wifi works fine.

PC is A windows 11 PC.

But the Bluetooth driver will not install..

Device Manager shows this.

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

A request for the USB configuration descriptor failed.

Windows will not install install no mater what I  try at all.

I re ordered a replacement and the same thing.

I have made sure the card/s are seated in the PCIe slot firmly  and the cable is connected to the F_USB on the motherboard and into the back of the card.

Some help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

Here are some suggestions for your reference:

Step 1: Go to Computer Management>Device Manager>Action>Scan for hardware changes, and check if it shows up in Network Adapters/Other Devices/Universal Serial Bus controllers.

Step 2: Plug the adapter into another PCI slot and do step 1 again, or install the adapter on another computer to see if it can be detected.
(Note: You need to shut down the computer before changing another PCI-E port)

Step 3: Right-click on My Computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager and double-click on "Universal Serial Bus Controller" to go to several "USB Root Hubs" and double-click on any one to open the Properties dialog and switch to the "Power Management" tab. Remove the checkbox before "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". Click OK to return, and restart the computer.

If all the above steps do not work, please follow this guide to share the system information of your computer.

Hi   @Marvin_S

Thank you for your reply.

as you can see from my post the Adapter shows up in the USB area in the Device manager, but is in error.

The PC only has one PCIe port avalible.

Doing the Power management on the USB Rott Hubs and restart does not resolve the issue.

  @Mark_Hunte

Hi, thanks for your update.

Please check the USB port is fully plugged and the USB line is connected to the adapter tightly. You may try to unplug and replug for several times.

And it is sincerely suggested to install the adapter on another computer to double-check.

Hi,  I am afraid not. Now it is hard to see the problem is from the adapter or the port of your computer. So we suggest to test on another PC.

Re:Archer TXE72E/AXE5400 ADAPTER - WIFI works,.Bluetooth driver cannot be installed
Saturday

@Mark_Hunte So for some reason, I have found a little work around to get my Bluetooth up and running again.

I simply had to turn off the Computer as per Normal (Start, Power, Shutdown). Wait for it to power off, then I reached around the back of the Tower and turned off the main switch to the Power Supply (PSU). I left it off for only about 10 seconds, switched it back on, Powered On my PC and let it boot back into Windows 11, and *poof*, Bluetooth magically working again.

No idea why this is making it work, but I was able to reproduce the results twice in a row.

I also am using the latest Drivers available from the TP-Link Website for this card as well.

Hope this helps some of you folks out!
