Hello TP-Link,

I am experiencing an issue when trying to integrate TP-Link Archer C80 routers into my FreeRADIUS authentication network. I have around 15 units of these routers in an institution where I provide services, and unfortunately, they are unable to authenticate correctly with the FreeRADIUS server, while other models, such as the Archer C20, connect without any issues.

The problem appears to be with the authentication response from the Archer C80, which reaches the server but is not processed correctly, resulting in authentication failure. After trying several configuration changes and analyzing logs, I was unable to find a solution. I believe the issue might be related to EAP support or some specific configuration that the Archer C80 requires.

I would like to know if there are any additional settings or adjustments that can be made on the Archer C80 to ensure it works correctly with FreeRADIUS. I would greatly appreciate it if you could investigate this matter, as there are several units of this model in the institution that need to be integrated into the network.

  • Log Archer C80 (Failed to authenticate):

  • Log Archer C20 (Authenticating successfully):

@Joseph-TP Hello, thank you for your attention. Freeradius is configured for PEAP as default, I have already tried md5. On the router I have already tried Enterprise authentication with and without WPA. I am attaching the current configuration. One note is that this problem has existed since 2022, when I purchased the equipment.

@Joseph-TP Boa noite, alguma novidade sobre a minha situação? Faltam 10 dias para o retorno das aulas da Universidade que trabalho, e ainda não tenho resposta sobre esse problema?
