Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.6.3 Build 24112112 Ref. 78921

I have not been able to successfully connect a brand new Ring Spotlight Cam Plus to the Wi-Fi- network. Some notes:

Wi-Fi network is made up of 5 X50 routers. I have tried connecting to different routers and all have the same issues

I have had the same issue with 2 brand new Ring Spotlight Cam Plus so can rule out the Ring devices

I have a Ring doorbell and Chime and they connect to the Wi-Fi network and work perfectly

I have tried connecting to the Guest Wireless using 2.4Ghz and same issue

I have tried connecting to a new IOT network and same issue

I have managed to get the Ring devices connected and working as a one off, but as soon as the Ring devices is turned off they are not able to reconnect

  @Epsillo

Hi, Thank you very much for the update.

It is suggested to install the 1.6.4 version here to see whether it helped:

Deco X50_V1_1.6.4 Boosted Network Stability for Smart Home Devices

Please also disable "Fast Roaming" and "Beamforming" under Deco APP>More>Advanced.

Then turn off "Mesh Technology" for Ring cameras.

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP

I have exactly the same problem. I have tried everything suggested on all the forums, but still cannot get my Ring Spotlight Cam Plus cameras to connect.

I have a TP-LINK Archer VR600 connected to a mesh system made up of  approx. 8 x TP-LINK M5 units.

  @GordonP

Hi, would there be any error message when Ring cameras fail to connect to Deco?

"I have a TP-LINK Archer VR600 connected to a mesh system made up of  approx. 8 x TP-LINK M5 units."

-Did you set Deco M5 into Access point mode?

-How about the firmware version of the Deco M5?

-Would the Ring cameras be able to connect to the 2.4GHz of VR600?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @GordonP in the end, I purchased a Ring Chime Pro WiFi Extender, which the Ring Cams connect to and it works perfectly. The Ring Chime Pro WiFi Extender connect to the WiFi provided by the Tp-Link Deco equipment and creates a WiFi network specifically for the Rim Cams. I assume that it works because it bypasses the security or issues with the Tp-Link Deco network. Give that a go. Thanks
