This experience should be noted in the DECO app as a warning.

Applicable for re-using (mechanical resetted) DECO units

As an experienced configurator of many DECO mesh WiFi LAN's  I have detected in practice how important it is to be proper in

re-using an not longer powered detached device (X50-1) after mechanical resetting this detached unit before using it in a new to born mesh WiFi network.

It proved that the new Mesh network was able to configure and came to work with the resetted unit  initially.

However after one perfect working day, the new born mesh network had died after I  deleted it in the DECO app  from  the old still operating mesh network.

It was also administrative disappeared from the online list of DECO networks.

The re-used gateway (former X50-1) had become a blue blinking unit on 100 km distance of me as admin owner.

Conclusion:

The big lesson is that you should aware of first complete software disconnect on the old network before you re-use the DECO in a another (new) network.

Hi, Thank you very much for sharing with us.

Usually, a hardware reset will release the device from its current configuration in the Deco app. The reported issue is not supposed to happen on the Deco.

So if the same issue is repeated again or other users happen to run into a similar issue, please submit the Deco APP log(How to submit Deco APP log) and @/message the moderator the first time.

Best regards.
