2nd Router with 2.4Ghz repeatedly failing

I have just had my router replaced as it was dropping the 2.4Ghz frequency nearly daily.
Today this router has started to do the same after only 5 days. The status shows the 2,4 Ghz as enabled but all 2.4Ghz equipment is not finding it until I reboot.
Is there a problem with the Channel 11 on some of the units. I have now forced it to channel 6.
Can anyone advise.
I have the latest firmware installed and have unit version 1.4.
