Problem: Archer C7 V2 keeps losing internet connection. A restart, or using the Release and Renew (IP) option in the status menu of the router fixes it every time. ( http://i.gyazo.com/5425fedc6ac911ac14544d55b7164f9f.png) Sometimes, the IP, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS Server are all 0.0.0.0, some other times they're what they're supposed to be. So far, our modem has been replaced, they've made sure nothing is wrong with the cable, and we've had a 'port move'. I already googled the issue, and Google told me to limit the bandwidth to the limit of my provider, which is 100 mbps/100 mbps. This didn't solve the issue, but I think it might have made it a little bit better. I changed it to 50/50 and now it feels more stable, although that might be just the feeling. I also turned off Hardware NAT. It's getting ridiculously annoying login to the router and renew the IP every time. It would be great if there's a fix for this. Some more random screenshots:

I have 1 local IP adress reserved, and port 25565 is forwarded to this, for Minecraft servers.

That's pretty much all I can do.
Some more random things
When it drops connection, I'm pretty sure it doesn't automatically go back up.
I'm pretty sure it's on the most recent firmware, from september 2014 if I remember correctly.
It's also bugging my family. They have to walk up to the router, unplug and replug.

I'm not expecting any response, since this is such a weird problem, but if you do have ANYTHING that MIGHT JUST REMOTELY help up in keeping our connection even a LITTLE more stable, PLEASE just comment it. THANKS!

When connection lost, you can login its web interface? Is there any error in the log? Provide that log.
Connecting to the modem directly works OK all the time?
The router is new or it was working fine?

Ada, I can login to it's web interface, and you can still connect through the modem. I can't connect to the modem directly, since it doesn't have a web interface. The router is not that new, but definitely not older than 4 months. We've had this problem for over 2 months now.

omiez, the firmware website is down. I'm pretty sure I have the most recent one, though. Could someone confirm this?

The website was down maybe but now it is OK. You didn't mention firmware version of your C7 and no one can confirm for you.

Updating the firmware did not resolve the issue. As always, any response is appreciated.

I've had the same problem. Got the Archer C7 V2 for Christmas, using a 1 year old laptop running Windows 8.1, Broadcom 2.4GHz 802.11n wireless adapter, have upgraded to latest software/firmware on all hardware including the wireless adapter in the laptop; still occurs as well. I have to turn the wireless adapter off then on and it regains connection but will drop depending on how many internet windows are open and how complex the website is. Happens constantly, even with relatively low data demands.

5.8GHz band seems stable, have iPads and cell phones that connect using the higher band that don't have this problem so it's something in the 2.4 band. Would love to think that replacing the unit would solve the problem but after seeing this as a recurring comment on several forums, it's a design issue in my humble opinion. But as a relative novice on this I will try other options

Could you please disable Hardware NAT feature (leaving classic NAT feature on), retry your tests and post your results here afterwards ?
