TL-WN725N Cannot Enable SoftAP

I'm trying to use the TP-LINK TL-WN725N Wireless N Nano USB Adapter 150Mbps in SoftAP mode but in the Advanced tab of the utility, all options are grayed out except "Please Choose a Wireless Network Adapter." When I choose the TL-WN725N it gives a "Failed to switch to wireless network adapter" error. I'm using Windows 7.
