TD w8980 diagnostics says DNS root fail

?MY TPLINK ROUTER w8980 worked fine till yesterday I stopped receiving on wireless Internet access.
Finally after connecting by LAN I was able to log into the home screen. Under system I was able to factory reset after saving config file. It did not work till I reset again and manually inserted data to connect to ISP. The router now works, however Under diagnostics I get the message D N S root fail. What does this mean?
