Model: Archer BE9300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.4 Build 20250813 rel.41793(4341)

I’ve been extremely disappointed with my experience using TP-Link routers. In just two months, I’ve had to replace my router twice:

  1. AX5400 (without mesh)

  2. BE9300 (with extenders RE315 & RE505X)

Both routers have serious issues. When I connect them to the modem’s 2.5GB Ethernet port, the internet speed is incredibly slow, and the WiFi signal is consistently poor. Even with a direct connection to the router, the WiFi speed barely exceeds 120Mbps.

I suspect the issues lie in TP-Link’s firmware updates and the overall maintenance of their products. Despite upgrading to a newer model (BE9300) and adding extenders, the performance hasn't improved at all. I’ve wasted a lot of time trying to get things to work, but I’m still facing the same problems.

I’ve had far better experiences with other brands, and I regret choosing TP-Link for my home network.

Hello@Fsca73 ,

Thanks for contacting our community.

Could you confirm the models of your routers? Does AX5400 refer to the Archer AX73?  And the BE9300 refers to the Archer BE550, right?

Who is your ISP? What is the model of your modem? May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows:

ISP modem—router )))((( Range Extender )))((( client devices

(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )

Have you tested the wired speed of the router? To verify the wired(Ethernet) speed of your Router, please connect the PC directly into the LAN ports of the Router, making sure all Ethernet cables are CAT5E and above.

If the wired speed is abnormal, please connect the PC directly to the ISP Modem/Router. Try a different LAN port of the modem.

Also, test the wired link speed: How to check the associated/link speed on a wired client.

For the actual speed, please use https://www.speedtest.net  or the speedtest APP/CLI(https://www.speedtest.net/apps) for testing speed accurately.

If only the wireless speed is abnormal, here are some suggestions: What should I do if my internet connection is slow?

Best Regards.
