whitelist mangement needs an upgrade - add recently failed/blocked macs with 1 click
Love this router for many reasons, but the HomeShield needs whitelist, and whitelist mangement needs an upgrade.I saw that you added the white list since last year - excellent!
To prevent kids from easily bypassing all HomeShield protection by enabling a random mac address, we parents must enable access control: whitelist.
Problem: Once I turn on whitelist, I can no longer see new devices and enable them by adding them to the whitelist. Findung the mac address is difficult (not always easy: on a tv, and every phone is different) and then type it in - and those codes are a pain to type in (it's easy to missread or type a character!)
Potential Solution 1: Allow me to see recent failed connection attempts. Ideally allow me to add to the white list with one click.
Potential Solution 2: Allow me to disable to whitelist for say 5 min. During this time anyone can connect, I then get a message with the mac address and hopefully easily add them to the white list.
Potential Solution 3: If I disable and re-enable the whitelist, please remember the macs that were on the list before. This way I can manually disable the white list, find the mac address, re-enable the whitelist, then add the new mac to the end. Retyping them all is too tedius.
