The adapter disconnects randomly , it causes my windows computer to reinstall a different drive when it reconnects. I managed to fix that by preventing windows from installing new drivers for devices automatically, but the disconnections continues, normally for a short periods of time.

After searching a while I found this Reddit thread about the same issue, with a potential fix. https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/158w8z3/tplink_usb_wifi_adapter_continuously_disconnects/juxbgmk/

some of your devices might be having issues with power draws, but it is still being sold to customers. Hopefully the solution people found on this thread will help you narrow the possibilities. Please investigate.

Hello @atpker ,

Thanks for your feedback.

When you mentioned 'it causes my Windows computer to reinstall a different driver when it reconnects,' are you referring to an installation package on the PC? Once the PC reconnects to the network, it automatically triggers a download. Have you confirmed whether the downloaded driver is for the adapter or another device?

Did you try the solution provided by the link you sent? Did it help?

There may be many reasons for an unstable connection. The following FAQ also provides suggestions:
What should I do if the TP-Link network adapter is not working properly in my computer?  (Please see case 2)
