Model: Archer BE550
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3

Hello,

Looking for some advice / a steer in the right direction. I have been using my Archer BE550 fine since I purchased it in May 2025. Approx 3-4 weeks ago, I received a firmware update that seemed to knock all my ethernet devices offline BUT the WiFi remained unaffected.

I have all 4 ports in use for:
EV Charger
Eufy Home Security
Desktop Computer
Hive

I did a few restarts and plugged each ethernet back in one at a time and this seemed to do the trick. Today I had another issue where they stopped working. I've logged into http://192.168.0.1/ and found that I had another update. So I've since done this update. There's no ability to 'roll back' on the portal. When I look at the actual 'firmwares' on https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/download/archer-be550/v1/#Firmware I see v1.2.1 as the last version, so am I being moved to beta versions which are buggy?

I obviously rely on wired a lot for my CCTV system, heating and EV charger, so its important I get this working.

I have read seperately that the Hive can be tempermental with 2.5G ports, so as a side note, anyway I can force a port to 1G?

Hi,

There is an existing thread about those issues. https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/856042

Anyway, firmware version 1.2.3 is official (not beta) and is considered the solution. So, you should be all good.

Ok, that is unusual, because for other users the firmware version 1.2.3 appears to work fine.

You could go back to firmware version 1.2.1 and see if that restores everything back to normal for you.

Yes, there is no dedicated "roll-back" feature. You have to upload the firmware *.bin file via "Local Update" (menu Advanced -> Firmware Update), even though going from 1.2.3 to 1.2.1 isn't actually an "update".

Hello  @PD98 ,

Welcome to our community.

After you update the firmware to 1.2.3, have you tried rebooting or reconfiguring the router?

May I know the type of network connection on your router? Is it a dynamic IP+VLAN ID? If yes, please enable the QoS feature for a try.

If the suggestions above don't help, please Manually roll back the firmware to version 1.2.1.

Hi again @PD98 ,

May I know if your router is now running stably again? If not, we need to gather the following information to pinpoint the cause as soon as possible.

Is your network topology diagram as follows:

ISP modem—router )))((( client devices

(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )
