I'm getting this error messsage from my Deco BE65

No Internet Connection

Something's wrong with the hardware connection. Please try the following:

  • 1. Make sure the Ethernet cable is securely and properly connected to the Internet port.
  • 2. Try another Ethernet cable.
  • 3. Make sure the connected modem is securely and properly connected.
  • 4. If the problem persists, reboot or reset your Deco

 

I have a mash network with 3 Decos, 1 BE65 and 2 BE22. 

When I first installed, everything worked fine. I was able to test the internet speed using the Deco Mobile App. I was also able to use PureVPN within my network. The Deco network was configured as router mode.

The BE65 is connected to the internet through a port in a TP-Link Switch, receiving a cold IP address in my internal network. 

I changed the the network mode to access point, because I was having problems with my NAS and Printer that are direct connected to the TP-Link switch. Till here, everything was working fine (I've just lost some features I had in router mode, but I was fine OK with that), including the external access via internet via mobile app to configure my Deco network was working fine.

 

A couple of weeks later, I start to receive the No internet connection from the mobile app and could not access the configuration remotely.

 

I've already tried to reinstall the Decos from scratch and I've just updated the firmware to 1.3.2 today. 

 

Don't know what more I can do....

Hi,
If you do not have internet after configuring the main Deco, please refer to the steps in the video below to troubleshoot.
What to do if I fail to configure the main Deco and get stuck on "Testing Internet Connection"?
 

Please confirm the following information if the same phenomenon persists.
  1. Is your network diagram: modem router -- TP-Link switch -- main Deco ))(( satellite Deco? If not, please describe your network diagram.
  2. What's the LED status on the main Deco and satellite Deco?
  3. On the Deco app > More > Internet Connection > IPv4, what's the internet connection type and IP address? If there is an IP address, you can try changing the DNS and check if it helps.
  4. After disconnecting the main Deco from the TP-Link switch and then connecting a PC instead, do you have internet on the PC from the switch? If so, what's the IP address on your PC?

1) My network diagram is  ISP1 + ISP2 ---> TP-Link ER605 ---Cable-->BE65 (Main Deco)--Cable--> BE22 Deco--Cable-->BE22 Deco

The main deco is connect to ER605 via cable in one port. From the 2nd port on BE65 is connect the one BE22 and from the 2nd port of this BE22, is connect the other BE22

 

2) The LED status on all of the Decos are Red

 

3) I cannot find this option in Deco App. The youtube video from the other link shows a version of the Deco app that appears to be an old one. In my Deco app I can see under de More menu:

Guest Network

IoT Network

WPS

Network Optimization

Internet Speed Test

Advanced

Administrators

LED control

System

 

Under de Advanced menu:

Operation Mode: Set to Access Point

Wireless Network Mode: Stable Mode

DHCP Smart: Active

USB share

Fast Roaming: Inactive

Beamformin: Active

 

4) Yes, I have internet on the PC. 

The PC IP address is 192.168.1.178

The Main Deco IP is 192.168.1.71, because I've reserved the IP for my Decos:

Main Deco: 192.168.1.71

Satellite Deco 1: 192.168.1.72

Satellite Deco 2 : 192.168.1.73

 

Important: The Wifi network is working. The Decos are receiving the wifi connections, they are distributing the IPs from the DHCP of the ER605 and I'm writing this text using the Deco wifi network.

 

The problems is that I'm getting the error: No Internet Connection, and I cannot access my Deco network from outside to check the status.

 

Other Problems:

The Date and Time of Decos are incorrect. They are not syncing with NTP. This is a recurrent error log (date and time incorrect)

Hi,
It may be that the front router, ER605, is limiting the Deco from connecting to our cloud server, so you can go to the internet via the Deco, but can't control it remotely in the Deco app.


Please try changing the DNS server on your router ER605, disabling or removing any special settings, such as parental control, access control, or VPN settings, to see if this helps.
