Your computer must have a driver from the printer, so that you can use the USB share printing. normally you need to connect the computer directly to printer to install that driver.

So if you replace the 8970 with the previous router, the internet is working stably? If so, i think the 8970 could be faulty.

Also called NAT on the router. it is enabled as default. So others cannot call by by VOIP number? Maybe you can attach a screenshot of the configuration of the VOIP on this forum.
