Adding to this thread. soft reboot through app caused my HDD not to initialize. This was a 2TB Toshiba Hard drive. Unplugging and plugging back in the H500 brings it back to life. Seems to be a fw...

At least make it where I can record my own like I can for the cameras. For example I have an indoor camera that has a voice saying the door has been opened.
