HI,
Please could you make it so the ITTT service can check the state of the smart plug, so I could then use it to email me to tell me if it is on or off.
Thanks
Paul

Echoing Mr_Bland's idea. Would it be possible to have the state available in Stringify?

EDIT: Specifically, can we get the state of the bulbs - brightness, colour temperature, hue etc

How can I check the status of the tp-link plug device (with IFTTT).

I can see the status with the Kasa app on my smartphone, but I need this funktion for IFTTT.

Thanks for your help.

I'm trying to ifttt to set kasa smart plugs to "Away Mode" when Nest senses we're "Away", but I don't see that as an option.  It seems like it should be an obvious option so I'm wondering what I'm missing.  I only see options to...

  • Turn on
  • Turn off
  • TOggle
  • Activate Scene
  • Change brightness
  • Change color
  • Change color temp

Is there another way to do what I want?  I want the lights to turn on and off randomly between dusk and 11PM when nest senses that I'm "away".

THanks,

Arnold
