I replaced my router and reconfigured my smart plugs but no matter how many times I switch on and off my bulbs they won't reset?

There is no blinking after switching on and off 3 times or 5 times. Has something changed with the latest firmware that requires a different method to reset?

Switch off the bulb first, then switch it on, wait 1-2 seconds, then switch it off, repeat 3 times or 5 times.

Sometimes timing is important. If you did it real fast, slow it down; vice versa.

@Rty

Hello everyone!

What are you model numbers of the smart light bulbs?

Please refer to this link to have a look:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2660/

and if still nothing happen, change the bulb to another light base and try again;

After that, if still no good luck, if the bulb is under warranty, please contact the local shop retailer to get them replaced.

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

Exactly the same problem here. Mind you I wasn't entirely surprised that I managed to get everything working properly in minutes after changing the router EXCEPT for the Kasa bulbs.

I might be confusing them with another set of bulbs, but if I remember correctly if the bulbs have already been reset they won't blink if you do it again - it might be worth double checking whether the bulb is already broadcasting it's setup SSID.

I too have the same problem. But, even after trying to reset (switch on/off 5 times), the light won't blink. Is there anything else i can do?
