Issue viewing Kasa cams on Google Home Hub/Nest Hub
Hi there. I have four Kasa cams operating perfectly in and outside my home (2x KC100, 1x KC110 and 1x KC200). My reason for buying the Kasa cams was (i) good experience with the Kasa smart switches and (ii) their integration with Google Assistant and, most importantly, the ability to view live camera streams on my various Google Home Hubs (now rebranded as the Google Nest hub).
The good news is that it works - using a simple voice command 'show [name of kasa camera]', I'm able to bring up live streams from all four cameras (NB. I should note that you're only able to view one stream at a time, not the four simultaneously with a split screen. I knew this).
The one minor irritation, and reason for this post, is that the stream stops after several minutes, shows a picture of a Google chromecast and then goes back to the Google home hub screen. This happens with all four cameras. I would (MUCH) prefer it to keep displaying the live steam until I tell it to stop.
Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know a workaround?
Many thanks.

@JonnyM 100 bucks would be my max at the moment so I’ll have to wait a while. Maybe when the next Bub arrives. Even better tp fixes the problem. I would also like to see multi camera view.

Any news on this?
I've got the same issue. Using the camera as a baby monitor and the time out is a deal breaker.

I spoke with TP-Link and they said it's programmed like that! 10-15 mins and it will timeout! Extremely daft.

@Maleko oh dear. Why would they program it like that? I can't see the logic. Can anyone else? Did they explain their logic?

Same issue here. I'd like to use it as a baby monitor with a Google Nest Hub.
Think this need to go back to the software engineers to update the software. It would even better if you could set the timeout limit.

@Kevin_Z Hi, any chance to fix this or add a configuration parameter?

Having the same problem. First tried it with an Amazon echo show 8 and now with a Google nest hub. Both stopped the stream within a few minutes which sucks. If I start the Kasa app on my old tablet and start the stream it goes as long as I want.
No idea why tp-link would limit this on smart screens. Makes no sense at all. I'll probably order a nest cam and if it works I'll send back the kc110.
Shame tho, since I started to like what you get for your money....
