Do you mean that the volume you get from the camera side is fine, while it is very low on other side?
What is the model number and OS version of your smart phone?
Have you tried to change another cellphone to give it a shot?

Yes can hear talking to outside camera on my mobile phone , very low volume to outside camera from my mobile phone .
Tried two different phones.
