Model: Kasa
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I bought a Kasa Spot toady to replace my old camera that unfortunately became obselete. I have found via nmap that the camera listens on pots 8080, 8081 and 9999. The last being a web server that I guess has no interface, but 8080 loads a video player and asks for a login. admin, admin doesn't work. Does anyone know the details to login to this camera?

@tripplehelix2

Thanks for your waiting. Got reply from our engineer.

There does not have web interface for KC100.

Considering the current situation, you can hard reset it or delete it from the Kasa app and reconfigure it. After that, the camera will work well as expected.

Below is the instruction to configure the KC100.

https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/kc100/#video

May it help. Good day.

@tripplehelix

What is the model number of the KC camera?

For your information, the kaca camera does not have web interface, it is configured and managed by kasa app only.

Good day.

It's the KC100, the actual model number is TL-SC200N.

Go to your camera's IP address using your browser and at the end of it add :8080 like below

http://192.168.1.199:8080/

You are taken to the raw stream. It asks for a login as if it were FTP. I need this login. The only thing I can think of is to brute force it.

@tripplehelix

What do you mean the actual model number is TL-SC200N? Besides, the KC100 does not support web interface; I'm afraid that there is some misunderstandting.

Meanwhile, we do not have a camera which is named TL-SC200N, could you please take a picture of it?

And when and where did you buy this camera?

Good day.

The TL- model number matches older models of the ip cameras before they branded them Kasa. The model number specifically isn't listed anywhere online so I'm guessing the name change was pretty late in development.

What's the login so I can feel safe that no one is using a backdoor.

@tripplehelix2

Thanks for your reply.

From the picture attached, it seems that it is the local liveview page. While we still need get a camera to do a test at our lab to locate what it is exactly.

While the engineer is off duty now due to the Mid-autumn festival, it may takes some time to get the reply.

For the username and password, you can try to enter admin/admin or the TP-Link ID to give it a go.

In the meatime, we will work on it, any updates, we will let you know immediately.

Thanks for your cooerpation and support in and have a good day.

@Jan_m

The kasa app is available for mobile phone and ipad.

While I'm afraid that it is not for PC now.

Good day.

@Kevin_Z

Would ypi excuse my step in since I got exactly the same query as the gentleman earlier, @tripplehelix.

I am quite puzzled by several topics.

First of all you have not answered at all the questions, feigning not to understand his point.

Secondly I am intrigued by the lack of pertinence that is dramatically going against the best interest of your company's cliens.

The least in regards to running the Kasa app on a Windows machine would be to inform the person that he or she could eventually run a VM emulating an Ipad.

Whether or not that person's got the knowledge, patience or interest to set that in motion, is up to them.

A proactive answer is always welcomed.

I was under the impression these kind of forums were supposed to be highly informative via discussions between members and the manufsacturer's technical team.

Back to the cams:

How can one's with reasonable technical knowledge access the OS of either the KC 100 and  KC 110 hardware v1 and v2.

As mentioned by @tripplehelix one way would be to bruteforce thre cams which utimately will give ground to ther system, however, I am more prone to a more civilized manner, at least to start with.

Looking forward to your detailed answer.
