Hi there

 

I was trying to setup homeassistant with my hs110. Fast forward it gave me a "communications error" when i was trying to set it up.

 

I loaded the kasa smart app and the plug didn't respond there either. So i decided to remove it and re add the device. I held down the reset button for 10 seconds and did the setup in the app. But when i get to the "Give your plug a friendly name" screen. I just says "something went wrong" and just stays there. IF i exit the app the plug is there but i can not use it. The device infomation screen is missing device time.and time zone.  So i am guessing the app is not setting these. It is connecting to the WIFI in the setup because the light is green and i can see it on my router.

 

If i try to edit the device information i just says call timed out. I tried even re-installing the kasa app from the play store.  

 

Not sure what to do from here.

Nevermind It turns out the router was giving it s 193 address not 192... thanks for the help!

Try to power cycle the HS110 and main router and verify whether it becoms editable. 

 

Still the same, please reset it one more time by holding the settings button for 10s; and then reconfigure it.

 

Note: This time, please give it a simple device name first. 

 

After that, please confirm whether it works well.

 

Still the same, please show us a screenshot of the error message; and you can send a direct message to me with the mac address of the HS110 and your cloud account.

I held down the reset for 12 second until the orange wifi light blinked rapidly so i know i factory reset.

 

When i go to give it a name this happens

 

 

I add the light via the wifi and it connects to wifi then it just sits there pinging the time servers and nothing else.

Here is the log from my server. 1000's of requests. It doesn't matter if i bypass the dns server or not. I disabled logging and nothing changed.

 

 

The plug shows up in the kasa app but i cant do anything with it.

 

 

 

I used the app to "sync" the timezone but nothing happens.

It's on my router. I had an issue with my wifi chosing channel 13 today but i switched it back to channel 6 and still nothing.
