@Mr_PP

Adding my name to the list of users requesting this feature, I'd love to be able to set my bulbs to slowly cycle through random or preset colours over a longer period of time

@Mr_PP

I have a number of KASA smart switches and outlets installed and just purchased and installed the KL125 smart bulbs. I assumed that there would be a feature to slowly shift hue from one colour to another as other brands do. I'm quite disappointed that a simple feature like this is not available and hope that it will be added.

I can't believe I'm googling this and seeing the same request over and over, for years(!) and TP Link are still neglecting to do anything about it... Not very good customer service, surely they'll just lose customers to other manufacturers that respond to their communities needs!! :(

I'm 1.5 years late to the party, but I found this trying to find a way to automatically alternate my kasa bulbs between red and green for Xmas.

Looking pretty grim, but would be a great feature to have.

@kb6183

You can change the bulb colours at preset times. First go to presets and set the colour intensity you want for those colours you will use. Second, go to Schedule; add a time to turn the light on; edit the schedule to select Use a Preset; then select the colour you want to use and the time you want to turn that colour on and Save. You can set multiple times for colours to shift by adding additional times and different colours through the Schedule Tab, saving each.

@Norwester Sorry, but if that is your option for Party mode, that is completely crappy.

Absolutely unacceptable that they still haven't coded party mode. even a regular programmer as myself can do that.

The lamp and the app already lets you change colors like that, the only thing they have to do , is add the option to automatically change, as a plus, giving the option to pick the colors it will use to switch, but anyway, clearly they don't care about what customers say and want.

They are loosing customers, a lot, just because of this.

@Norwester Thank you for the information. I was thinking more along the lines of constantly changing. Maybe a change every few minutes for a couple of hours in the evening will suffice for now.

@Brook

If the light strips can do a party mode, seems like the KL bulbs could too? I've seen that multiple people asked for this in 2020, and it's 2022 now. Would love to see this feature added. Sort of just assumed it would be there? If I would've known, I would've bought the Phillips Hue instead. My mistake for assuming and not doing all my homework. Now I feel a little stuck having made the investment on a bunch of bulbs. I just figured if I could do it manually that there would be a button to press to get the colors to change on a sliding scale of slow-to-fast intervals. Love the suggestion of integrating IFTTT as others pointed out. If a direct, in-app option is not a priority for TP Link programmers (which would be a big public win in response to the customer community), at least a work-around option to build this feature on our own would be super helpful and would build repeat customers with longevity.

*Also, there's a barrier to entry for people to make this request and leave feedback because it requires taking the time to set up an account to post, which most people won't do or will abandon part way through, so don't judge the value of people asking for this just by sheer numbers alone (though many have been asking for 2+ years, and some people have taken the time to come back and ask again multiple times over those years) - I think the whole community would ask for it if they could. It would be great as a customer to be heard not just in a token way, but in a way where the company acts and responds by doing something :)
